Terms of Service

What Cedar is

Cedar reads documents aloud: PDFs, EPUBs, articles, pasted text, scanned pages, and free public-domain books. Your account and library live on the Cedar service so they follow you across devices.

Your content

What you import stays yours. We store it only to provide the service — to generate audio, keep your place, and sync your library. We don't sell it, share it, or use it to train anything.

Fair use

Free accounts include a daily listening allowance. Please don't script against the service, resell access, or import content you don't have the right to use. Accounts that abuse the service can be suspended.

The service

Cedar is provided as-is. We work to keep it fast and available, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, and features may change as the app evolves. If we ever discontinue the service we'll give you notice so you can export what's yours.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app or by contacting us; deleting it removes your documents and listening data from our servers.
